Pakke (Pakhui) Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. The dominant plant species are Euphorbiaceae and Lauraceae. However, the flora of the sanctuary is expected to have much greater diversity than is currently known.

Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the south-eastern part of Lohit district. It got this name because of the Kamlang River flowing through the sanctuary. Hishami, Digaru and Mizo people are the residents here. It is bordered by the Lang River in the north and the famous Namdapha National Park in the south.
Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary is nestled amidst dramatic mountains, snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, dense forests and shimmering rivers. It has steep to very high slopes, this sanctuary is located near the India-China border. There is a beautiful lake named Kahai in Dibang.
Kane Wildlife Sanctuary is located close to the Assam-Arunachal border and can be reached from Likabali via Along, the district headquarters. A maze of streams and small rivers run through the sanctuary. It is bounded by the Siji River on the west.
Tally Valley Wildlife Sanctuary stretches between the Subansiri, Sipu and Penj rivers, surrounded by densely forested mountains rising to an altitude of 2,000 to 4,000 metres. And it is home to the rare and elusive clouded leopard as well as tigers. About 364 species of birds have been recorded in this area.
Yordi Rabe Supse Wildlife Sanctuary is located between 1500 and 2500 meters in the middle latitudes of the eastern Himalayan ranges. The terrain of this area is rugged and hilly. A large number of species of mammals like tiger, clouded leopard, Asiatic black bear, serow, goral and snow leopard are found here.
